What it shows

The Vedic day, at a glance

Masa, paksha, tithi and vara. The ghati-pal clock, counted from sunrise in large Devanagari numerals. Muhurta, hora and choghadiya. A day timeline from sunrise to the next sunrise.

The live Vedic clock

Ghati and pal elapsed since local sunrise — the signature element of the app, shown large, with the current muhurta, hora and choghadiya beneath it.

Panchang details

Tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana with their end times. Sunrise and sunset. Rahu Kaal, Yamaganda, Gulika, Abhijit and Brahma Muhurat.

Vikram Samvat and Shaka

Both years, Purnimanta or Amanta month naming, and a line such as "Saptami until 3:12 pm, then Ashtami".

Wherever you are

Approximate location, or a manual city search from a bundled offline list. Times always show in the local zone of the place you're viewing.

A plain verdict, with its reasons

Good, moderate, or best avoided

Every moment gets a calculation-based reading — first for everyone at your location, then personally for you, from your birth nakshatra and Moon sign. Every verdict shows the reasons behind it. Nothing is predicted.

Good

Amrit, Shubh or Labh choghadiya, clear of the factors below.

Moderate

Char choghadiya, or a good window that overlaps Yamaganda or Gulika.

Best avoided

Rahu Kaal, or Rog, Kaal or Udveg choghadiya. Never shown in red — smoke grey, with a word and an icon.

Built for accuracy

Computed, not looked up

Shunya Shri calculates the Sun and Moon's positions from established astronomical algorithms, converts them with the Lahiri ayanamsa, and finds sunrise and sunset for your exact coordinates — entirely on your device.

Checked against reference data

Transition times for tithi, nakshatra, yoga and karana, and sunrise and sunset, are held to within a minute of independent astronomical references.

Offline and on-device

No server, no network call to show your panchang. The calculation runs on your phone, using your device's clock and your chosen location.

Calm by design

Palm leaf by day, indigo sky by night

Two typefaces. One accent colour per theme. The interface follows the actual sunrise and sunset at your place, not a fixed clock. Nothing decorative that doesn't carry meaning — no gold gradients, no glow, no clutter, no ads.

Devanagari, properly set

Tiro Devanagari Sanskrit for the date and clock, Mukta for everything else — bundled, never fetched, in Hindi and English.

Colour is never the only signal

Every verdict carries a word and an icon alongside its colour, and "best avoided" is never shown in red.
